India Prime Minister Narendra Modi Celebrates World Lion Day : PM Modi Shared Some Stunning Photos of Big Cats and Urges to People to visit Gir National Park
World Lion Day : New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared some stunning pictures of lions and tigers on the occasion of World Lion Day which is celebrated on August 10 . PM praised the efforts of all those involved in the conservation and protection of lions.
PM Modi highlighted that in February this year, the Union Cabinet approved the establishment of the International Big Cat Alliance to bring together all the countries in the world where big cats live. It seeks to build a holistic approach to promote sustainable development and also support community efforts in this regard. He said that this effort has received encouraging response globally.
Posting a tweet thread on X, PM Modi said, “On World Lion Day, I appreciate all those working on lion conservation and reiterate our commitment to protect these majestic big cats. As we As everyone knows, India is home to a large population of lions. Their numbers have increased significantly in the last few years in Gir, Gujarat, which is good news.”

PM Modi also invited all wildlife lovers to visit Gir National Park and see the efforts made to protect the lion while experiencing the hospitality of the people of Gujarat.
